About Andar Bahar
Andar Bahar is a centuries-old card game from the Indian subcontinent, hugely popular in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The name literally means "inside-outside" - referring to the two betting positions on the table. Modern Pakistani 3 Patti and Teen Patti apps almost always include Andar Bahar as a side game because it is fast, simple and visually exciting.
This simulator recreates the full Andar Bahar experience: a Joker card is revealed, then cards are dealt alternately to the Andar and Bahar piles until one of them matches the Joker's rank. You bet on which side will hit the matching card first. The simulator also includes side bets on how quickly the match happens.
How to Play Andar Bahar
- Place your bet on Andar (red side, pays 0.9:1) or Bahar (blue side, pays 1:1).
- Optional: place a side bet on how fast the match will appear - Match in <5 cards (5:1), 5-10 cards (3:1), or 11+ cards (1.5:1).
- Press DEAL. The Joker card is revealed in the centre.
- Cards are dealt alternately to Andar and Bahar. The first side to receive a card matching the Joker's rank wins.
- Winning chips are paid instantly. Press REBET to repeat your bets, or CLEAR to start fresh.
Why is Andar Slightly Lower?
In traditional Andar Bahar, the first card always goes to the Andar pile. That gives Andar a small built-in advantage, so the payout is slightly reduced (0.9:1) to balance the game. Bahar pays the full 1:1.

Card Matching
Only the rank of the card matters - suits do not. If the Joker is 7♥, then any 7 (7♠, 7♣, 7♦) on either pile triggers a match.
Tips & Strategy
- Andar vs Bahar is close to 50/50. Pick the side that fits your gut on a hot or cold streak - the trend chart on the right helps you spot patterns.
- Side bets are higher variance. Match in <5 cards pays 5:1 but only hits about 30% of the time. Use side bets sparingly.
- Bahar has a slight edge in payout because it pays the full 1:1 while Andar pays 0.9:1. Over many rounds, Bahar bets recover slightly more chips on wins.
- Use REBET to keep momentum. If a side is on a streak you can repeat your last bet with one click.
- Practice bankroll management. The simulator lets you set any starting balance - try sessions of 100 rounds with strict stop-loss limits.

Why is the first card always on Andar?
Traditional Andar Bahar starts the deal on the side that matches the Joker's colour - red Joker first to Andar, black Joker first to Bahar. Many modern apps simplify this and always start on Andar, which is what this simulator does. To balance the small advantage, Andar pays 0.9:1 instead of 1:1.
Do suits matter in Andar Bahar?
No. Only the rank of the card needs to match the Joker. Any Queen, regardless of suit, will trigger a match if the Joker is a Queen.
What is the longest possible round?
In theory, very long. But on average a match happens within 7-8 cards. The simulator's history will show you the distribution over time.
